Furthermore, temperatures have plummeted dramatically in various locations across the country, with snowfall falling in Jammu Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.

Imd has issued a seven-day alert for significant rainfall in Tamil Nadu.

Additionally, the IMD has advised expecting mild to moderate rainfall on Tuesday, with certain areas in south Tamil Nadu expected to have precipitation. Furthermore, there’s a chance of rain in Puducherry, Karaikal, and North Tamil Nadu. During this time, one or two locations are predicted to see thunderstorms and lightning.

Delhi too saw a dip in temperature, with Tuesday morning’s reading of 22 degrees Celsius. The city’s minimum temperature, according to IMD, was 7 degrees Celsius.

With temperatures in many areas of the state falling below 10 degrees Celsius, Odisha is also experiencing cold waves. The cold wave that was still affecting the twin towns of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack persisted, with the minimum temperature for the third day remaining close to 13 degrees Celsius.

In the meantime, Haryana reported a low of six degrees Celsius on Tuesday and Punjab recorded a low of five.

Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir transformed into a winter wonderland after receiving new snowfall on Saturday. Nainital in Uttarakhand and other places such as Badrinath, Kedarnath, Pithoragarh, and Auli are also experiencing significant cold waves.

Russia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Mauritania, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Seychelles, Indonesia, Darussalam, Japan, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brazil, Peru, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, and Belarus are also on Iran’s visa-free travel list.

Iran previously waived visa restrictions for people from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Oman, China, Armenia, Lebanon, and Syria.

The action, according to a statement made by the Sri Lankan government, was part of the country’s efforts to enhance tourism and reach a target of 50,000 visitors by 2026.

At the moment, 27 nations allow Indian citizens to enter without a visa. Kenya, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka are the most recent entrants. Other countries that do not require a visa for Indian citizens include Barbados, Bhutan, Dominica, Haiti, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal, Samoa, and Trinidad & Tobago.

According to Ministry of Tourism data, the top five destinations for Indian citizens are the UAE, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and Thailand, with a considerable number of diaspora tourists.
